Inmate found dead in Wyandotte County Detention Center

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - On April 3, at approximately 9:00 p.m., staff at the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical emergency at the detention center.
Inside one of the housing units, staff found a man dead.
Staff did attempt CPR to no avail. EMS arrived and officially confirmed him deceased.
That man has since been identified as Theodore Maurice Bunting, 37.
Bunting’s death is being investigated by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI).
