SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield man pleaded guilty in Springfield court Friday to illegally carrying firearms.
The Department of Justice said in a news release to 22News that 30-year-old Kenneth Finch Jr., pleaded guilty to two counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Sentencing is scheduled for Finch on January 18, 2018.
According to the Department of Justice, police got information that Finch was a providing firearms in the Springfield area in June 2015. On June 3, Finch sold a .45 caliber pistol and six rounds of ammunition to two undercover officers for $1,200.
Officer later arrested and charged Finch on May 12, 2016.
According to the Department of Justice, Finch called his girlfriend from jail to tell her that he hid a gun in her apartment.
Police said they found a 7.65 mm caliber pistol at his girlfriend’s apartment in Springfield.
Finch was charged on November 10, 2016 with an additional count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
