Sanders, described as a 5-foot-9 white male weighing 170 pounds, was serving a life sentence for murdering Charles K. Maness during an armed robbery in 1998.

Sanders reportedly stole Maness’ wallet and truck, before he placed a deer’s head on his victim’s headless torso and drove around showing it to friends, according to a person familiar with the case who spoke to WREG.

Young was sentenced to 40 years for burglary of a vehicle, burglary of a residence, grand larceny and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in Claiborne County.

Authorities issued a public plea, describing him as a black male who is 5-foot-9 and 193 pounds.
