A Lorton teen charged with killing a Reston couple shortly before Christmas and then turning the gun on himself has been transferred from a hospital to Fairfax County's juvenile detention center, police said Monday.

A judge ordered the 17-year-old detained after a detention hearing held via videoconference from the hospital Monday, police said.

The teen has been charged as a juvenile with two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of Scott Fricker, 48, and his wife, Buckley Kuhn-Fricker, 43, in their home in the early hours of Dec. 22, police said.

Police have not offered a motive in the killings, but family members said the couple attempted to stop their daughter from dating the teen, who they believed espoused neo-Nazi views.

The Post generally does not name juveniles charged with crimes unless they are charged as adults.
